New York City, the South, and the Midwest

Henry began his public transit career with New York City’s MTA as a subway conductor and then as an assistant tower operator.

Henry decided to leave New York City in 2001 and relocate to Arkansas where he pursued a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, minoring in Urban Studies, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In 2005, as part of internship studies, Henry worked as an assistant dispatcher for the para transit sector of what was known as the Central Arkansas Transit Authority.

From 2006 until January 2013, after relocating to the northern Kentucky/Cincinnati, Ohio metropolitan area, Henry worked for the Southwest Ohio Regional Transportation Authority, starting as a bus operator and then being promoted to dispatcher and then street service supervisor. Concurrently, Henry worked for the Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky from December 2009 until July 2012 as a part-time bus operator.
